Our storage footprint in the free zone has roughly doubled, which changes what we can promise on same-day despatch for accelerators and optics.
From the first week of May we are operating a second bonded bay at Jebel Ali Free Zone South, adjacent to the unit we have used since 2022. The additional space is given over almost entirely to two categories: data-centre accelerators and optical modules.
Those two lines behave differently from everything else we carry. Accelerators arrive in unpredictable batches and leave quickly. Optics leave in small quantities constantly, across dozens of vendor codings that cannot be substituted for one another. Both need depth on the shelf rather than clever forecasting, and depth needs floor space.
What changes for customers
The practical effect is on cut-off times. Orders for stocked optics and adapters confirmed before 14:00 Gulf Standard Time now leave the same working day rather than the next morning. For accelerators, we can hold allocated stock against a signed purchase order for up to fourteen days without asking for a deposit.
The new bay also gives us a proper intake bench rather than a corner of the despatch area. Every unit that arrives is now unpacked, photographed, serial logged and powered on in the same place, by the same two people, against the same checklist.
What does not change
We are still a trading and distribution business and nothing about this expansion moves us toward integration, managed services or anything else. We buy hardware, hold it, and ship it. Our customers build the systems.
